DBQ得分方法
1. Thesis Statement得分法

写出prompt所提及的period (e.g. from 500bce to 500ce)
写出ap region (e.g. in Mediterranean area—不要写in Rome empire, 因为对于thesis来说太specific了)
根据prompt的要求写出2-3个arguable的分论点，不要所有分论点都集中在一个theme（e.g.不要三个分论点都跟politics有关，除非题目这么要求的。举个例子，可以写一个politics，一个economy，一个religion的分论点；具体还是看prompt的要求）
关于arguable：“宋朝取代了唐朝”就很不arguable；“宋朝凭借着___而取代了唐朝”就算是arguable的，因为朝代覆灭和兴盛的原因有很多，考生可选择argue其中一部分）

因为要用对6个才给分，所以保险起见，时间允许的情况下use all documents (就算misinterpret一个也还是有分的)
每总结完一个doc，就在后面标出 “(doc 1)”方便改卷者注意到你用了第一个doc.
因为生硬的direct quotes是没有办法表示出考生对文章的充分理解的，所以建议用paraphrase的方式来总结docs大意；或者quote一些phrase然后用自己的话来描述docs
每总结完一个doc，都在后面加一句commentary描述这个doc如何和自己的argument连接起来（e.g. argument是某朝代兴盛是因为他们的军事力量；evidence是他们发明了xxx武器；commentary就是xxx武器在当时很先进杀伤力很大，给了这个朝代很大的advantage让他们conquer其他地盘从而兴盛）

写3个得分，但保险起见建议写4个
point of view: as a __(author的身份)__, the author suggested ___ because ___(与author身份有关的理由；比如governor会想要管理好国家).
purpose: the author writes this in order to ___(specific)___ (会和pov有点点像)
audience: the intended audience of the doc may be ___ (越详细越好) because ___
historical situation: the phenomenon in the doc happened in __ period, in which __(此period的特征).
一般这些内容紧跟着doc的summary & commentary。有些同学可能会觉得这样写作很突兀，很没有过渡的突然就讲point of view, 但是wh essay考试更像个checklist，只要写到了点并且合理就有分，不用太太太过于在意transition.

6. Address Both Sides of the Prompt+complex understanding得分法

如果prompt问的是similarity & difference，文章的分论点至少写一个sim一个diff—并且加一句话分析为什么sim和diff并存
如果prompt问的是causation，文章的分论点至少写一个cause一个effect—并加一句话分析为什么会有这个causation的联系，相当于分析cause 的cause （e.g. 你的论点是“先进科技让x朝代兴盛”，那么evidence是“科技”相关的东西，commentary是“为什么xx科技能帮助朝代兴盛”，complex understanding是“为什么这个朝代能有好的科技—policy导致/地理位置优势/等等”）
如果prompt问的是continuity and change，文章的分论点至少写一个continuity 一个change—并加一句话分析为什么会continue/change
如果prompt问的是Periodization，文章分论点一定要写出too what extent 两个period是sim/diff—并加一句话分析为什么是largely different/almost the same/slightly different

DBQ步骤
1. 阅读prompt

读documents前，简单记下自己看到prompt能联想起来的东西—对contextualization 和evidence beyond document有帮助

2. 阅读所有documents

读doc的同时用在旁边写下关键词，方便写essay时直接paraphrase文章内容
给documents按PIRATES (politics, intelligence, religion, arts, technology, economy, society)分类—方便后面group不同的docs
边读docs边思考可能的point of view, audience, historical situation, purpose等等并简单记录—到时候写essay的时候直接看着笔记写就好，无需重新思考一遍
遍读docs边根据similarity/difference/yes but（就是虽然在xx方面相似，但是在xx方面又很不同）分类—分成2-3类，行程2-3个分论点

3. 写thesis statement + outline

4. 开始写啦！

1. Introduction:

Contextualization介绍历史背景
Thesis Statement: from ___ bce/ce to ___ bce/ce, in ___(region)___, 分论点1, 分论点2, （分论点3）

2. Body Paragraph

Topic sentence: 把分论点抄一遍
Summary doc 1 + commentary
(如有, pov/historical situation/purpose/audience)
Summary doc 2 + commentary
(如有, pov/historical situation/purpose/audience)
Summary doc 3 + commentary
(如有, pov/historical situation/purpose/audience)
Evidence beyond doc + commentary
再写一句总结说一下以上三个evidence如何证明了分论点/为什么会发生这样的事情（他们相似/不相似/改变了/没有改变），这句话用来获得 “complex understanding”这一分
