Message from Secondary

It was a pleasure to meet so many Key Stage 3 parents during the first Academic Review Evening of the year. As always these evenings are a key part of the partnership we have with families, where students, teachers and parents all work together to ensure a successful journey through the routines of school life in the Secondary school. It has been particularly pleasing to observe the ease with which Year 7 students have settled into Secondary routines and expectations, and indeed this was commented on by many during the course of both evenings. As we move towards colder weather, I would seek to remind students that uniform should be worn with pride and ask parents to revisit the uniform guidelines in student planners to ensure smart appropriate dress at all times.

As a Secondary school we are looking forward to international celebrations and wish to encourage as many parents as possible to come and participate in the Parade of Nations on Wednesday from 9am. We also thank you in advance for the support in providing what will no doubt be a fantastic array of international cuisines from around the world for students to sample. This year we have a record number of countriesparticipating in the event, which truly reflects the dynamic diversity which exists throughout our school.
