SHSID’s Author’s Week began on March 18th where every primary student will spend the whole week getting to know two internationally famous children’s authors Dr. Seuss and Roald Dahl.
The first and second graders will learn about the American author Dr. Seuss and his stories that have helped many children worldwide learn to read. The third and fourth graders will learn about the British author Roald Dahl and his amazing stories. The primary teachers have prepared an “Author Wall” in the hallway of the primary building to introduce these two brilliant authors and their children books.
Today all the first and second graders are wearing all different kinds of hats in memory of Dr. Seuss Cat in Hat, and all the third and fourth graders are wearing all different ribbons and hats on their heads in memory of a wonderful character from Roald Dahl’s classic book Matilda.
A good book is a window into a wondrous imaginary world for a child. All the primary students in SHSID will enjoy learning about these authors and their brilliant books over the course of our reading week!
名家名作，尽享书香。上海中学国际部小学段的孩子们从3月18日开始，将在这一周中走近名家、欣赏名作，度过充实又愉快的“名家读书周”。
为了迎接这隆重的“读书周”活动，小学段的老师们特意为孩子们在小学楼大厅事先准备了一面名家介绍墙，让孩子们更深入了解两位享誉海内外的儿童作家：苏斯博士和罗尔德达尔。在本周活动中，小学段一二年级的孩子们将重点了解苏斯博士及其代表作品，而三四年级的孩子们将重点了解罗尔德达尔及其代表作品。在接下来的一周中，各个年级的孩子们将通过形式丰富多样的装扮、演讲、阅读、写作等各种活动来了解名家生平、赏析名篇佳作。
走近名家、欣赏名篇，对上中国际部小学段每一位学生来说，都将是一次收获满满、印象深刻的经历。在读书周中，让孩子们插上想象的翅膀，在老师的带领下，徜徉书海，收获知识和快乐！
