本届TOP300从来自全美47个州及5个属地的近 2,000名申请者中选出。学生需在地方科学博览会中位列前10%方可获得JIC参赛资格,这也是全美唯一将附属科展作为核心选拔通道的初中生STEM竞赛。通过Society for Science的附属科展网络,JIC每年吸引约60,000名学生。

青年创新者挑战赛JIC
JIC(Junior Innovators Challenge,青少年创新者挑战赛)原名博通大师赛,自2010年以来,在冠名赞助商和合作伙伴Broadcom Foundation和 Society for Science的慷慨支持下一直在持续运作着。

而从2023年开始,科学服务领域的全球领导者赛默飞世尔科技(Thermo Fisher Scientific)成为该协会中学比赛的新冠名赞助商,并启用全新的比赛名称——Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge!
和ISEF一样,Thermo Fisher Scientific青年创新者挑战赛也无法直接参加,学生需要从地区赛中脱颖而出,才能拿到前往赛场的门票。该赛事面向美国6-8年级学生,排名在地区Top10%的学生将会获得申报全国赛的资格。
1、参赛资格
在2025年11月1日至2026年6月1日期间 ,参加过Thermo Fisher JIC-affiliate science fair各地区附属赛的学生(被展会指定为JIC提名项目,列入科学学会候选名单)才有资格申报全国赛。

🔼附属展览会
申请者必须是6-8年级学生,并参加了美国或美国境内的附属展会,每人只能提交一个条目,可以单人或≤3人团队参赛。
所有申报的研究必须符合赛默飞世尔JIC附属博览会制定的指南、以及美国所有地方、州和国家法律法规。
每位提名者的项目研究时长最多为1年,且不得使用此前已参加过科学学会附属展览或科学学会全国中学STEM研究竞赛、但未达到延续标准的项目。
赛默飞世尔科技公司高管、董事或实际担任高管职务的人员子女,不具备参赛资格。

团队参赛要求补充:
但团队项目的每位学生都需要独立提交申请、处理申请问题,并在申请表内清晰描述自己负责的部分、以及对项目的理解。队友之间的描述会有相似之处,但必须独立撰写,除摘要部分外,任何论文和书面回复都不能完全一样。
团队项目不要求所有人参赛,接受单独参赛。在全国赛的评审过程中,小组不会被视为一个整体,可能只有其中部分成员能被评为Top300或Finalist入围选手。

3、奖项设置
提名者
获得提名本身就是一项极高荣誉,这代表该项目跻身美国中学科学展项目的前10%。每位提名者都有资格申请全国赛。
参赛者
所有提名者进入赛事后,均可获得一件T恤、保险杠贴纸及其他奖品。所有参赛者均可加入学会校友网络。
Top300学生
可获得由美国国防部STEM项目提供的125美元奖金、获奖绶带、《Science News Explores》杂志一年订阅权,以及 Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition 的订阅权限。
Top300学生的指导老师
可获得一个托特包,以及《Science News Explores》杂志一年订阅权。
决赛入围者
可获得500美元奖金,以及一次由主办方承担全部费用的华盛顿特区之旅(可由一名家长 / 监护人陪同),并有机会角逐更多奖项。
决赛入围者所在学校:可获得由赛默飞世尔科技提供的1,000美元,用于开展STEM相关活动。

团队奖(由 STEM 教学研究所TIES赞助):在通过共享决策、沟通及科学工程协作解决问题方面表现最佳的团队,每位成员均可获得一张礼品卡及科学用品公司的购物券,以支持其在STEM领域的兴趣发展。

Thermo Fisher Scientific青年创新者挑战赛鼓励学生们完成在传统实验室环境之外的研究,从生活中找到兴趣和灵感。和 ISEF类似,比起研究的复杂性,JIC更注重创新性、社会价值、以及对学生科研兴趣的启蒙。
参加过这项比赛的美初学生,往往能更早找到自己的兴趣所在、锁定未来的发展方向。在参赛过程中,学生会对同类科研赛事的标准和流程更加熟悉,他们将有更大的机会在ISEF赛场上摘下成就!
